Since a friend of mine, Grace, was sending me and Sevieyana a picture of the beautiful cafe named Onni House, we were eager to take a visit to this place.
Located at the Tanjung Duren Utara V, the place is not too difficult to be found. It’s located in the housing complex, as for the parking space, you might need to go further a bit from the cafe and parked in front of the few houses next to it.
From outside, the place seemed like a house that was transformed to be a cafe. Once we arrived there on Sunday 03.30 pm, there’re already a few people on the waiting list. The place is not too big and very packed. So many girls were standing on the outdoor and the front space to take pictures at every instagramable spot while waiting for their table to be ready. To be honest, the place was indeed beautiful, full of flowers and leaves both artificial, real, and dried ones, vintage things, and homemade stuffs such as soap, etc. Most girls were even brought their SLR/mirrorless camera and take turns with their friend to snap pictures (me and my friends also take turns capturing each other’s pose hehehe but we only use our phone).
(They also provide the bouquet consist of beautifully arranged dried flowers as photo props)
As for the food, (I didn’t take the picture, but fortunately Grace did), they provide few western and Indonesian comfort food. My friend who ordered the recommended dish by the waitress (I forgot the name but I believe it was called Beef ribs maranggi with rice), said that the portion was a bit small for its price, and the taste was nothing special. But I think since the place was beautifully decorated, most people who came here has only one main purpose which was to take pictures, so the food was not the main concern here.
So for the ambiance I rate this place 9 / 10, as for the food 6 / 10 and drink 7,5 / 10. Maybe someday later I’d like to come back when the place is less crowded so I don’t need to queue to take pictures 😀
